Mysteries have always attracted human imagination for the fact that the unknown or the unexplained produces fear in human minds as a natural reaction to the thought of having to leave everything it owns in the middle of this life, all of a sudden!!! Ghost stories can be heard all throughout the world, let it be the European countries, united states, middle east or the near or far east countries like India. 

                           The ghosts of these different countries have normally been kept away or driven out by the local people using religious methods or rites which usually depend upon the religious inclinations of the most popular masses of the region. In western regions under the influence of Christianity, The ghosts are driven out by showing the Cross or the holy water or in extreme conditions of very powerful apparitions; exorcisms at different levels of intensity is supposed to be exercised. In India or near east countries, where Hinduism and related religions are more popular; the "mantras" or chants are uttered from a holy book or a secret manuscript. 

                           Unidentified Flying Objects have sometimes been connected to the evil side, owing to the fact that they are simply unknown - and unknown things were never popular with the societies for a normal living in our materialistic world where ego of the individual is of paramount importance.  The mutilated bodies of animals like cattle and abduction by extra terrestrials coming from another planet have always fired the imagination of inquiring minds and the debate goes on and on and on about the authenticity of these claims. 

                           There have been numerous claims about Hauntings of mansions and palaces in virtually each and every places in the world. People get a real "kick" hearing these stories and they get a little afraid thinking about the situation where they get into a situation like that...... The ghosts come in various shapes and effects, but the most common part of the story is where the mind involved in the sighting gets frightened and petrified to the point where it gets it's body hurt by itself. 

                           Dead people walking stories have always been the best sellers which cash out on an excellent theme of triggering the innermost fear of each and every mind which has gone to attend a friend's or family member's funeral. The sight of the dead mean's body being lowered into the crypt also shows the subconscious mind a passing scene of the body coming out of the tomb; as the mind would have some how at some time been a victim of a popular horror writer in this or other sojourns.

                           Bermuda Triangle is a very popular word which is being described in any mysterious subject discussions, but the real Bermuda triangle as most of the common population doesn't know; is one of the most busy flight and sea route in the region. It all has started with the mysterious disappearance of a whole fleet of the US base station at Fort Lauderdale in 1948 - and after that, till even very recent times; countable numbers of aircrafts, small ships and even bigger vessels have been reported missing from this triangulated area between the Florida coast, Bermuda island, and Miami. The name itself has made such a mysterious impact over the years that it now stands for a classic example of the helplessness of even the most sophisticated instruments in front of the "unknown". Many explanations have been put forward by various authors and researchers starting from the location of "Atlantis" off the coast of Florida, Spontaneous Warping of the space, Extra- terrestrial influence and underwater civilizations which developed in the far depths of sea; to the more natural explanations like notorious unpredictable weather in the Bermuda triangle region, normal accidents which come under the category of chance occurrences in such a busy area, unreported discoveries of the ships or vessels later, vortices or tsunami's  seen as a sudden event in the region which is having  pretty unpredictable tidal wave patterns and deep under water currents in the region.

                           There are a few cases of Spontaneous Human Combustion cases reported which are quite unique in their description that it occurs within a matter of minutes and the victims are not found to be having any patterns which we can say as a plausible cause for  the phenomenon.

The mystical phenomena's of many and varied types all over the world, over the years have found their way into our hearts by the ghost stories read to us by Grandma's in childhood, or narrated in it's all glory by a friend or relative or you would have purposefully searched out scores of books to delve into the virtual world of ghosts, vampires and miracles. The truth concerning these all incidences is that it is as your friendly neighborhood psychologist suggests; " just an illusion of the mind by the conceived ideas being projected into the conscious mind precipitated by phobias or preconceived notions"; but; as it comes to reality- Is this world that real as it seems to? and if it is; where does it go when you sleep? and what would be the world of a person in coma, who is living forever in his dream world???
